課程概述 |
本課程為組織理論與管理在衛生政策及健康產業的理論與實務之入門課程，主題內容涵蓋管理程序的各種層面以及組織理論相關的重要內容，共包含演講與個案討論的兩部份。
This is an introduction course to organizational theory and management in health policy and health industry. Both theory and application in major topics of management process and organizational theories will be covered. It is designed by lecture and case discussion for each topic.

課程目標 |
本課程的目標包括1. 說明、檢視與解釋管理與組織理論的各種原則；2. 應用上述的主要概念，例如組織設計、行銷、人力、控制與規劃等功能，使當代的健康照護組織有效運作；3.協助學生了解影響管理決策的環境與組織間的交互影響；4. 替未來更深入的特定內容與課程來鋪路。
The objectives of this course are: (1) to identify, examine, and explain the principles of management and organizational theories; (2) to apply those key concepts regarding the designing, marketing, staffing, controlling and planning functions required for an effective operation on contemporary health services organizations; (3) to help develop an appreciation regarding the interplay of environmental and organizational factors that affect managerial discretion in decision-making; and (4) to pave the way for advanced studies regarding specific topics in the future.

課程要求 |
1. 學生應準時到課，作為期末評分之加分依據
2. 全班依照甲乙組與MPH的背景共分為8組，每組負責四次的課前報告，每次會有四組的同學各負責報告5-7分鐘(老師會事先指定問題)。
3. 每組負責兩次的個案討論，每次也是由四組同學報告，由老師介紹個案背景，告小組進行同一個案不同問題之討論(老師會事先提出問題，同學亦可自行設定問題) ，每組每次報告15分鐘。
4. 期末報告由兩組合為ㄧ個單位進行報告，進行個案撰寫、或就一本書、
一部電影、或管理與組織議題的實證研究、DEBATE等內容，呈現口頭與
書面結果。
Students should come to the class on time and the attendance rate will be considered for rating student performance.
All students are classified into 8 groups. Each group will present twice in class for 5-7 minutes by topic assigned by teacher. Four groups of students will be in charge of before-class presentation in selected topics.
Case study will be held in selected topics. Teachers give the overall background description and hold the discussion. Students will be classified into 8 groups and four groups presents 15 minutes each time.
Student need to find matching group in final report. Case writing, a movie, a book or journal articles will be potential materials for final report.
